Dry Needling
For treatment of pain and movement impairments.
Dry needling is a technique that allows a Physical Therapist to target tissues that are not manually palpable. Our specially trained therapists stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points and muscular connective tissues.

Our Physical Therapists have received advanced training and are certified in Dry Needling. This technique stimulates underlying muscular, nerve, and connective tissues with the use of very thin monofilament needles. There is no medication injected thus earning the term “Dry Needling”. This helps to locally improve blood flow, reduce muscle “knots” or trigger points, and stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and relaxation). Dry Needling is not acupuncture. Our methods are a part of modern Western medicine and are supported by research.
Dry Needling is especially useful for trigger points, chronic headaches/migraines, scar tissue, and tendon injuries. In addition to the local effects of dry needling that target specific tissues, our patients also benefit from a systemic response from the whole body which acts to reduce inflammation and put the body in a state of healing.
